Homesick

    Man, it's been a while since I've uploaded one of these, hasn't it? I don't even know when I started this, but I spent many months procrastinating and putting it off. I think I just really didn't want to color the background. Of course when I put my mind to it the bg took two days, so I should really stop putting things off.  

    This picture is supposed to take place after Peridot got stranded on Earth, and before she was captured by the Crystal Gems, when she's still longing for Homeworld. I'm honestly surprised that it's taken me so long to draw Peridot, since she's my favorite character. It was actually her episode "Catch and Release" that made me a fan of the show. Previously I had just been, "meh, I'll watch it with my friend 'cause she likes it," but after that episode I was like, "yup great show gimme more." 

    I should probably draw the goofy and awkward reformed Peridot since that's when I fell in love with her but tbh sad Peridot gives me life.

           
Also there's this theory that Peridot was inspired by Invader Zim and that just makes me so happy.
