Merry Rari

    Finished May 29, 2016 and made with watercolor and white gouache + gel pen for highlights.

    This was the first watercolor picture I made after a big school project I did in watercolor, and I like to think I've definitely improved. I'm able to control it better, and I've improved my soft shading.  

    I'm not particularly sure what inspired me to draw this, I think I just liked this design. I loved the episode though, probably one of my favorites this season, and I'm addicted to the songs. ;.;

    The watermark was another nightmare. My friend and I came up with three placements that all had problems, but were the best. We called them, "Croppable, Out of Place, and Kanoons." The first are pretty self-explanatory, but Kanoons was one that had very nice placement, but MarzKartoons was hard to read, and it looked like it said Kanoons. I tried to go with that because it was the best and I figured people could hopefully figure it out, but then in the process of saving the image, the watermark got shifted. Like, HOW? I had to fiddle with it a bit more, and in the end, I think it's better, so I guess it worked out.
